WHAT IS FULVIC ACID?
Fulvic Acids are the extract of the organic matter decomposition end product, being the only part of the humus that is soluble in any media (acid, neutral, and alkaline). Chemically, the fulvic acid molecule is nature’s masterpiece. Where aromatic rings are conspicuous, with abundant carboxylic groups next to nitrogen and oxygen atoms; so polyvalent metals are easily chelated, which in turn liberates some anions such as phosphates, sulfates, etc. In these molecules, oxidant and reducing radicals are found, that enhance the breathing process of plants, besides the sugars and amino acids that nourish the plant.
WHAT IS KELP?
Kelp extract is a liquid extract made from the sea plant Ascophyllum nodosom The liquid provides natural plant hormones and micronutrients to your crops. These compounds are known to accelerate growth, increase flowering and fruiting, intensify color, and provide resistance to disease, insects, drought, and frost.
THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMUS
Stable compounds of colloidal nature that are obtained by the organic matter through the decomposition process, called humification, form humus. Organic matter, as such, yields very little to soils. However, thanks to microorganisms and their capacity to decompose it, the humus is processed, which is responsible for the biological, physical, and chemical activities of the soil.
The Proven Benefits of Using Kelp:
- Increases bloom set and size of flowers and fruit.
- Increases and stabilizes chlorophyll in plants, which results in darker green leaves and increased sugar content in plants.
- Relieves stress in plants caused by extreme weather conditions.
- Increases plant vigor, and thus imparts greater resistance to disease, insect attack, drought, and frost.
- Increases microorganisms in the soil that can fix nitrogen from the air.
- Increases mineral uptake from the soil and into the plant.
- Increases the storage life of fruits and vegetables by retarding the loss of protein, and chlorophyll.
- Retards the aging process in plants (senescence), thereby lengthening the production season.
- Many of the trace minerals contained in seaweed have important regulatory functions when applied to land plants, and in the animals and humans that consume the plants.
